This style can best be defined by having a rustic backdrop from materials that emphasize the harsh desert environment, contrasted by bold colors used in rugs and fabrics. The style overall is more casual and eclectic. There is an emphasis on imperfection, which can be seen in materials like Saltillo tiles, adobe bricks, vigas, and plaster on walls.
